Furry Migration
Furry Migration is our flagship annual convention, and it’s the highlight of the MNFurs calendar. Every September, for three unforgettable days, the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis transforms into a realm of boundless creativity and community. This convention is a celebration of the Furry Fandom like no other, where individuals from all walks of life come together to embrace their shared love for anthropomorphic animals.
Furry Migration isn’t just a convention; it’s an immersive experience that allows you to express your inner creativity, connect with kindred spirits, and create cherished memories. Join us each September as we bring this vibrant world of imagination to life, and make Furry Migration a part of your annual tradition. Midwinter Frolic
Midwinter Frolic is a mid-winter outdoor lodging adventure housed at Whitewater State Park. This is a gorgeous canyon carved by swift running brooks that cut through dolomite cliffs. This creates a secluded canyon protected from the harsh winds of the plains with a year round open water creek. This is the perfect place to play in the snow, take pictures, or observe wildlife, with or without fursuit. You will be eating and sleeping in the rustic Whitewater State Park Group Center. These 7 cabins surround a central commons area with a large event lodge on one corner and mens/womens bath house on another corner. This group center is ours for the weekend so this entire area will be fursuit friendly all weekend.
Feel free to look over the Whitewater State Park website for everything offered during the winter. The camping compound is located is a beautiful gorge that offers amazing hiking, photography and wildlife. The cabins themselves are situated around a “commons” area that provides plenty of room for fursuiting, playing in snow and general winter frolicking. Otherwise, the main lodge will have plenty of space to play games, draw, read, work on projects, or watch movies. Cabins are cozy – you and your mate can just relax and get away from the world for a bit.

Annual Picnic (Spring & Fall)

These picnics are a cherished tradition in our furry community, combining the beauty of nature with the warmth of camaraderie. Our picnics are a celebration of the incredible sense of community that defines our local furs. It’s a time to reconnect with familiar faces, welcome newcomers, and strengthen the bonds that make our group so unique. Whether you’re a longtime member or someone looking to dip their paws into the furry world, everyone is welcome. No picnic is complete without delicious food! Bring your favorite dishes to share with the group, and you’ll discover a mouthwatering array of homemade treats and furry-themed culinary delights. It’s a potluck extravaganza that satisfies both the belly and the soul.
For those who love collecting badges, our semi-annual picnics offer a unique opportunity. Limited edition badges are often created for these events, making them highly sought-after mementos of your furry adventures.

There’s a unique tradition that’s all about whimsy, community, and exploring the great outdoors – it’s called “Fursuit Romps.” These joyful escapades bring fursuiters and nonsuiters together for enchanting outdoor walks that range from city streets to small suburban parks. The heart of a “Fursuit Romp” is, of course, the fursuiters themselves. These walking works of art transform into colorful characters, each with their own stories and personalities. With fur, feathers, scales, and tails, they grace the landscape with their magical presence, spreading joy and laughter to everyone they encounter.
What makes “Fursuit Romps” truly special is the way they bridge the gap between fursuiters and nonsuiters. While the fursuiters don their fantastical costumes, nonsuiters join in as well, sharing in the wonder of the experience. It’s a celebration of diversity and a testament to the inclusive spirit of our community. Join us on our next “Fursuit Romp” and experience the enchantment for yourself. The “Mall Walks” are your midweek escape from the ordinary. Instead of feeling cooped up at home, join us in exploring the vast expanse of the Mall of America. It’s an invitation to break free from the routine and soak in some social interactions with other furs.
The Mall of America offers miles of walk-able pathways, providing the perfect backdrop for staying active and fit. Whether you’re aiming to achieve your daily step goals or simply looking to enjoy a leisurely stroll, this evenet has got you covered.
Generally these events involve several laps around the Mall of America®, then finishing the day at one of the food courts for dinner. Please check the MNFurs.org event listing in the event of a venue change.

In the charming town of Hopkins, we’ve carved out a special spot for furry enthusiasts – the “West Metro Meets.” Happening like clockwork on the 2nd and 5th Saturdays of every month, these gatherings are a delightful blend of friendship, conversation, and the flavors of Perkins Family Restaurant.
