So I’m making a costume that requires digigrade legs, and ive never made anything like digigrade padding before. Im going to be in a panel and i reeaaally want it to look nice. I have a yard of high density upholstery foam, and only really need help making them from someone who’s relatively experienced in making foam padding. All i ask is for your help. Ive looked at bunches of pictures and read a lot of tutorials but i still dont trust myself not to mess it up. I live in the Ramsey/Anoka area and have all the materials necessary. (hotglue, tights, old shoes, and a yard of foam)

I’ve never made such forms myself but what I CAN tell you is there is spray adhesive that works well on foam that may take some of the worry away. If you make a bad cut, you can glue it back together. I’m not sure but hot glue might melt the foam.I’ve also had good luck working with foam using yarn and a yarn needle. Holds up to a fair bit of use (experiment replacing fiber fill in a plush that tended to deform easily).
